Somerville Conservation Commission approves Draw 7 Park project amendment, separating it from the future Mystic River Pedestrian Bridge. The commission voted 4-0 at a special remote meeting Tuesday to approve an amended order of conditions for the Draw 7 Park redevelopment, a DCR property adjacent to Assembly Row. Wetland scientist Devin Herrick and project manager Amanda Gall of Weston and Sampson presented on behalf of DCR, explaining that a planned landing plaza has been removed from the Draw 7 project and transferred to the MBTA-led Mystic River Pedestrian Bridge notice of intent so DCR can complete its work independently.

The total buffer zone impact remains 137,337 square feet within an unchanged limit of work. Commissioner Newton Teter secured a condition requiring two newly proposed drainage manholes to be designed to Massachusetts Stormwater Handbook deep sump and hood standards before the project seeks a certificate of compliance, expected in summer 2026.
