Somerville Urban Design Commission Approves Minutes, Stalls on In-Person Meeting Return

Somerville's Urban Design Commission approved its January meeting minutes and adjourned in 13 minutes, unable to resolve a weeks-long impasse over returning to in-person sessions. Co-chair Sarah Lewis opened the February 24 remote meeting by disclosing a date typo on the evening's agenda, noting the meeting had been posted correctly to the city calendar. The commission's only formal vote, 4 to 0, was to approve the January 13 minutes after members corrected two errors in the draft, including a wrong street address for 101 Highland Avenue, the YMCA project under design review.
