Somerville Fair Housing Commission finalizes April programming, approves January minutes unanimously. Staff liaison Shannon Lawler reported one harassment complaint from a rooming-house tenant, referred to the Somerville Police Department's Community Outreach Help and Recovery program after commissioners determined it did not involve a protected class ("It sounds more like harassment"). A separate Somerville Housing Authority complaint remains open with Greater Boston Legal Services.

The commission is planning an April 10 landlord-focused bingo event with the Council on Aging and an April 16 library film-and-book discussion built on "The Color of Law," drawing on a prior event that attracted about 40 people. Former commissioner Rona Fishman returned to help plan discussion questions. Roughly six applicants are being interviewed for one of two vacant seats, and commissioners floated inviting Somerville's new mayor to the library event.
